Cher Shares Mexico: Moving is not fun

Well we did it, we are all moved into our new place. I really don't have a lot of stuff, but when you go to move it sure seems like you do! We moved into this place a little at a time since it is only a few minutes away from our old place, and the big items moved on Saturday. But wait we might not be done yet!!! there is an opening on May 1st for a downstairs unit, which Billy wants to take as he doesn't like doing the stairs and it will seem like a bigger place because the patio is right next to the pool. I'm not sure I want to be downstairs, we may be to close to all the action, up here is a little more private and we have an awesome view of the lake and mountains, downstairs I will have a nice view of the parking lot, the front has a view of the mountains and the pool . Being downstairs would put us close to the laundry room, clubhouse, and the grill, which Billy loves using, so I guess we will need to decide, I still have most of our things in boxes, so it won't be to hard to move them downstairs, just not sure if that is where I want to be. I will let you all know what happens. The pool here is awesome, it is heated and they keep it crystal clear, they also have a hot tub that actually works. The young man who works here keeps the lawn and the pool looking great and they have a cleaning lady that comes twice a week to clean the clubhouse and the laundry room, you can also hire her to clean your apartment . One thing about living in a small place is that you have to keep putting things away, or before you know it the place looks trashed. I hate a messy house.Our cats are adjusting, we took them out yesterday and they kept running up the stairs :), if we do move downstairs I think the cats will start going out again, right now they sleep during the day then they decide that the night is for playing!!! I have some pictures that I will post with this, I'm not going to post any of the inside of the apartment until we decide what we are going to do, then I will hang up our pictures and put our stuff out, then post the pictures. You will just have to wait!

Horses: They are doing great, still love going out to play with them. I rode Melaza today and she is coming along, she is very smart. I ride her more in the field now, she seems to like to canter more in the field than in the round pen, lot's of room in the field. She also has he own idea of how long I should be on her, which by her standards isn't very long at all LOL.

Life: Have to say it is good here, beautiful weather, love all the fresh veggies and fruit that we buy at the open market and my flowers. I started swimming again, which I love doing. Tomorrow it is off to the mall with my girlfriends, looking forward to that, I have a small list of what I want to buy. I don't get to the mall to often so it will be fun. I used to love going to the mall with my sisters and our mom, we always had a good time.

Diet: Bought a new scale at a yard sale, would love to take it back and tell them that it has to be wrong!!!
Seems like I put on a few of those pounds that I took off, oh well Billy would say are you Happy? well that's all that matters. He is no help when it comes to dieting, he brings home cookies, chips, candy and soda ! But I will get back to eating less and my swimming will help too. I have to look Fabulous before I go on vacation this summer.

Daylight Savings Time: I love it, love having it light out later, just works so much better for me, I hate it when it gets dark early, the night just drags on and on. So much to do when the sun is shining! Can play with the horses later, swim after dinner, go for walks, endless things to do!
