Pictures

It has been ages since my last post, this is going to be short and sweet, just want to see if I can actually get my pictures to post on here. One is my mare at our new stable, us and the inlaws, and us with the grankids at Disney.

4 Years !

Well tomorrow marks 4 years of being here, time sure flys when you're having fun! I have to say that it took me a long time to get used to living here but now I  love it!  Of course there are people and things that I miss, like family and friends, the beach, wonderful trails, and Publix Subs!  But on the flip side of all that, here we have beautiful views of the mountains and lake from our apartment,  the weather here is wonderful, the people are so friendly and then of course there is my awesome mare! So things here are different but in a good way.

Universe moments:  Driving to the Wednesday market I was thinking to myself that if I saw Pat there I would give her a ride home, well I did see her right at the last vegetable stand on the way out!  She told me that a reader of our blogs was asking for me to update mine, so here I am! I have been having a hard time publishing from  my tablet but I thought I would give it another try. Actually this is my 2nd go at it this evening, I started it, put the tablet down, and then along comes hubby and uses it to get on facebook!  and of course I hadn't saved it, my bad or his? 

What have I been up to?  Well there is my diet that I am on, so far I have lost 12 lbs. Only need 2 more to reach the weight I would like to be. This time in order not to gain it back I plan on getting on the scale once a week, that way I can cut back if I need to.

Closing a chapter :  We have sold our house in Florida, this brings on a mixed range of emotions for me. Of course we are thrilled that we sold it, but there are so many wonderful memories there, from our gran daughters playing in the pool and riding the horses to all the time I spent trainng in our riding ring, to the awesome trail rides with my friend Helen. But we know it is time to move on and we will always have the memories! Time for someone new to make their own memories there.

Florida:  We decided to go back for the closing, good excuse to visit family and friends, go to the beach that we miss, and of course eat a sub from Publix! We are going to take the gran children to Disney! I don't know who is more exicted about that, them or us!

My horse:  Of course I can't do a post without mentioning her,  she is still awesome! I get complements on her all the time, and I never get tired of that.

Hello it's Me!

Well I am using the title Hello it's me from a Tod Rudgren song, does anyone remember that song or am I dating myself on that one? I debated whether or not to contine  blogging or just give it up, so I checked my stats and it seems like there are people reading this blog of mine so I thought I would keep at it. So now you get to hear  all about  my countiung  story of life here in Mexico.

OPPS I did it again!!  Now if you have read some of my posts you would know how much trouble l can have with my camara, well I haven't been using it, instead I usually use this tablet. Today I decided to take my camera, so charged up the battery, grabbed the chip put it in and off we went. We get to the fair, I take all of 7 pictures, and you guessed it, the chip is full, seems like I grabbed a chip with pictures already on it! Honestly I know better but still it happened again. I think I will just stick to using this tablet.

Old posts.  Last night I was reading some of my old posts, some were funny, some were sad, one made me cry! That one was about my horse that I gave to my friend Chris, it was really nice to go back and read them. I even found two pictures of our cat Pancho when he was only 5 months old !  Sooo  cute.

Holiday blues,  It is really different spending the holidays without your family around, I tend to get a little depressed around this time of year, lucky for us we have a nice group of people that live in our complex and we all got together and had a wonderful Christmas eve dinner. Since we went out for Thanksgiving dinner and we weren't impressesd we decided to cook for Christmas, yes you can get turkey here and all the trimmings.  Our dinner turned out Great!!

Weather,  I know I shouldn't complain about it, I know it is really cold in the states, but here we are use to nice sunny warm days, and it has been a bit on the chilly side, we don't have ac or heat, we usually don't need them but this winter we light the oven to get the chill out of the air, and the pool water is not warm! Oh my I have such a though life! Lol.

Where does the time go?  I don't know it just seems to fly bye, I have a grandson that just turned 6! I remember when I flew out to see him he was only a few months old!  and of course it seems like you just pay the rent and it is due again, or any bill for that matter.

Ok time to wrap this post up for now. I'm not going to add any pictures to this post, but I will on my next one.
