Time flies!

As the saying goes, " Time Flies when you are having fun! It seems like it was just yesterday when I sat down at the computer and composed last weeks post, and now it's time to do a new one? How can that be?
Getting Side tracked: I came upstairs to put this post all together, and then decided it would be a good time to go through some of our pictures and delete the ones that I have already used, bad ones of me (Lot's of them) LOL! out of focus etc. ok, that done, now to create a new folder called Sept. photos, so that it will be easy to retrieve them for this post, check that off the list, now time to finally put down my thoughts! and you thought this posting stuff was easy.
Weather: Today it is raining out, it usually rains at night but today it decided to be different, mother nature most have know that we are going out for an early dinner with some friends, the restaurant is in a town that we have not been to yet, and I was hoping that it would be a nice drive, well there is time for it to clear up before we leave so maybe it will, one can at least hope so. I will let you all know how it was in next weeks post. I had some towels on the line that I had to run out and bring in, they had to finish up in the dryer, I like hanging the clothes out, I know most people don't but I like the sunshine on them.
The new place: Next Monday we plan on starting our move, I would like to do one room at a time, that should be easy enough we really don't have to much stuff, although when you start moving it around it seems like we have plenty! We need to be out of this house by next Thursday night, that is when the owner is due back from England, we will miss this place, it has been fun to live here for the last four in a half months, we will be stopping by to see the animals, I will really miss the cat, and our walks in this neighborhood.
The Mountains: I think I need to do a post just on the mountains, I love looking at them, they change by the hour, sometimes they are all lit up by the sun, other times they are covered with clouds, at times you can't even see them, I have watched them disappear from view when a rain storm is coming through. In the morning they usually have clouds sitting on top of them, then as the day warms up they move off. Right now they are really green from all the rain we have been having, during the dry season they start to turn brown, but right now they are beautiful.
The following pictures were taken on Thursday night in the Ajijic plaza, everyone was out having a great time, 200 years of freedom were being celebrated ! and the Mexican people know how to party!

This little one was dancing to the music! Never to early to get your groove on!

Well dear readers that about winds it up for this weeks post, till next week, adios

What do I want to write about today???

What do I want to write about today? I like to try and update my blog once a week so that my readers coming back for more. Usually I have an idea of what to write about, at least so far that has been the case. I should write my ideas down that way I don't forget them, you know, old age and all of that. I like to include pictures too, which takes longer to do because they need to be put in a folder first, so they can be found easier. Then they need to upload to the post, then I add my writing last. At least that is how I do my posting.

Last night, sitting upstairs, I had the slider open, someone on the mountain was having a big party with a band. It was so nice to sit and listen to it, and at 11:00 it was over and all was quiet again, well until the storm came through. Lighting and rain, but we didn't lose the electric this time, and it passed over quickly. The lake is really so high right now that the beach is gone. The rain should be ending at the end of October, then they tell me no more rain till May. By that time people can't wait for it to rain! I love the weather here, it is a nice change from Florida!

Today is Sunday and we like to just stay home and chill. So, after I am done with posting I will be going downstairs, sitting myself down and reading my book. A neighbor gave me a book called the Dark Horse, now of all the books in the world to give me, he gives me a book that takes place in Wellington Fl. The story is about the show jumping circuit that takes place every winter. I love the show jumping there, the horses are beautiful, the grounds are awesome, and the jumps are huge. The first time we went there I thought I died and went to heaven, so I find it interesting that I am reading street names that I have been on, and the best part, the book is good! Oh and I have even done a post on Wellington!!! It's the Universe LOL!

We will be moving in 2 weeks. I have started packing a few things here and there. I went to the apartment yesterday, to meet with the guy who makes the curtains, he will be cleaning the ones that were up, and shorting the ones that were in the kitchen. There is a nice patio in front and I wanted a curtain put up to block out the strong afternoon sun, but I didn't want to be the one that had to pay for it. The owner was there and I told him what I would like and he said no problem, so I am getting my curtain! He also told me I could move in anytime. After the place gets cleaned, which will be this week, I might start bringing things over a little at a time. That way it's not such a big deal. After our moving from Florida and getting rid of all our stuff, nothing is a big deal . This week I will to go out and buy some plants for our new patio, I want to make it look really nice, because that is where we will be spending most of our time.

Facebook. I really like using Facebook, so, Thank you Helen for giving me a kick in the butt, she would tell me to get with it! now I use it all the time to keep up with my friends, and I love how you can put your pictures on it, or just write comments. I think it is pretty neat.

Do not view the following picture if you gain weight just by looking! This is why the weight is not coming off!!! See that chocolate donut with the cream in the middle? My downfall! I had one last night, it was so fresh, and so good, after I ate it I said to myself, damn I should have bought 2 of them, but I am really glad I didn't! Now of course I don't eat all of this at one sitting, boy would I be huge! LOL I freeze the rolls and have them with dinner, and the big ones we use for sandwiches.
This is what the mountains look like in the morning, then the clouds burn off and the sun comes out!

This Puppy was for sale at the market, so cute I had to take his picture !

Sherry took this picture of me, the before and after????

The following pictures were taken on our walks, we have to walk the dog twice a day, so I like to bring the camera along, you never know what you will see.

This is a picture of a stained glass door. The picture does not capture how beautiful it really is.

Artwork on the side of a house in our neighborhood.

This is a wall mural inside of a garage!

I thought this was an interesting catcus plant

This horse head is standing guard inside a garage, I love it !

Well that's it for this week's post hope you enjoyed it. See you next week!

I Should Have Stayed In Bed !

Have you ever had one of those days when nothing seems to go right, and at the end of the day you think, man I should have just stayed in bed, well I had one of those days this week. This is my story of what happened. It all started out well enough, got up, got dressed, met Pat ( who is finally back from the states ) and Dale for breakfast, ordered a breakfast sandwich with hash browns, and from there my day started a down hill slide, the hash browns were so greasy I couldn't eat them. Ok breakfast done, we walked into the open market looking for the man who sells, lights and mirrors, we saw something that we liked for the kitchen a few weeks ago, and we were hoping that he would be set up, well no he wasn't there, this is 6 weeks in a row that he hasn't been at the market, so I give up on that, I did see another light I liked in Tonala, so that is where I will be buying our new light. Next stop is going to be a the carpenter's shop, we gave this man a deposit 2 months ago to build a bar for us, and it has been one excuse after another from him as to why it is not done yet, well actually he hasn't even started it. We go in and he tells us that the wood that he had for the bar was not the right wood and he will be getting it any day now, he said he will build the bar for us, so I bring him over to the calender and tell him, pointing to the days, you tell me what day this bar will be finished, he pointed to next Wednesday, he promises us that it will be done and I said you give me your word and he said yes and we shook on it, we shall see !!!! We also tell him that the drawer's do not match the cabinets, oh he said that is because they are a different kind of wood, so when we go home I look up the pictures of the kitchen before any work was done, and there in wonderful color are the drawers and cabinets all matching, imagine that. We leave there and head for the mirror shop, where we had a mirror made for the bathroom, we are sitting at the light on a hill, with a car in front of us, all of a sudden this woman's car is rolling towards us, I am freaking out saying she is going to hit us, and that is just what she does, her car just rolled right into us, so she and her friend get out, she doesn't speak English, but we manage to tell her to pull forward so we can see if there is any damage, well she did that, and lucky for both of us there wasn't any so I told her to just keep on going, and she did, you don't want to get the police involved if you don't need to, it takes forever to do all the paper work, we would still be there. LOL Ok now we head to the mirror shop, no parking spaces near it so Billy is heading away from it, ( now if you read my blog you know about Billy and parking ) so now we are 1 block away, now 2, getting ready to scream at this point!!!! but instead I turn to him and say why don't we just go home and have some lunch, so we do. After we had lunch we went and picked up the mirror and brought it to the apartment, told Claudia ( the woman who manages the place) what was going on with the bar and how the carpenter told us it would be done, etc. etc., we find out 2 days later that this carpenter who has been giving us the run around, is her f____ing uncle ! I think she should have told us from the beginning that she was related to him, no wonder he does most of the work there, anyway we have decided not to tell her that we know about the connection, and just hope that he comes through with the bar. I will keep you all posted. So that was my bad day, I know in the gran scheme of things that this is all small stuff but sometimes all the small things can add up, plus I was a little homesick that day. Being homesick can be strange, I can go for long stretches without it bothering me and then one day it all comes crashing in, I hate those days, but I guess it is normal. Well dear readers that is all for this post. I will write again soon.
